Core Microeconomics
Use Mas-Colell, Whinston, and Green. If MWG is too complicated, use Varian, and then once you understand Varian, use MWG.

Books and lecture-note resources I have found useful in economics and mathematics.

I got a lot from Osborne and Rubinstein.
Börgers is extremely good.
I use a combination of Hansen and Casella and Berger. For background, I also use the Blitzstein notes. I previously took Stefan Wager's course, and those notes are invaluable.
I mostly use Stokey, Lucas, and Prescott, along with Ljungqvist and Sargent. For coding, there is no better resource than QuantEcon.
Johnsonbaugh and Pfaffenberger is, in my opinion, brilliant. By pacing, it assumes some prior knowledge, but otherwise is self-contained.
Joe Blitzstein's undergraduate and graduate notes are fabulous.
Boyd and Vandenberghe. If you are at Stanford, take the course with Boyd as soon as possible.
